The process begins with the instinct inside you that urges you to do something positive to change your circumstances. It is our strong belief that no one can (or should) be 'sold' on the idea of migrating from employee to budding entrepreneur, the 'instinct' is there already - or not!

This conviction is reflected in our apparently relaxed attitude to timescales in helping you to establish your own business. We will happily guide you through the maze of paperwork, decisions and deadlines, but we will never 'push the pace' or encourage you to overcome any 'mental barriers' that you may have about breaking free to run your own business.

If anything, we view our role during this pre-completion phase as that of Devils Advocate - we will stress the risks, highlight the required commitment & emphasis the down sides.

From your first contact with us to the point at which you are 'in business' will very much depend upon you. It is not for us to suggest what is an appropriate timescale is for you to take the plunge - everyone has a slightly different set of circumstances.

From our perspective, the roll out of a new business has taken as little as 1 week! Equally true is the fact that we have worked with recruiters for literally months before finally launching a business. Typically however, the cycle from first 'phone call to first day of business is around 6-8 weeks.

During that period, we will expect to have 2 to 3 face-to-face meetings with you (at times that are convenient to you - out of hours, at the weekend - whenever). These meetings will be punctuated with information requests and incidental (but numerous) telephone conversations.

You will be expected to commit significant time to the creative process that we follow in establishing your company image (web site design, business cards, headed stationary etc). You will also be expected to firm up any areas of ambiguity concerning how you 'do your business' (e.g. candidate procurement, restrictive covenants within your employment contract, the use of technology etc).

Once you have made the commitment to proceed, we will provide you with every conceivable guidance that may be necessary - after all, this will not be our first time!

Above all, you can expect complete confidentiality and care at all times. You will be kept informed, be part of the process and encouraged at every turn to enjoy the event. Running your own business should be a spectacular adventure to be savoured, however tough the process may become!
